Continued technical training of laboratory staff is an essential component in the lab function. This is especially true in clinical and public health labs where the technology is evolving at a fast pace and technical staff need to stay up to date with changes and improvements in testing platforms and routines.
GBS offers its client a training assessment service which results in a training plan report detailing the need and a work plan to fill this need. In addition, GBS offers a wide range of training classes and workshops which are customized to each client’s requirements and circumstances. The following is a partial list of topics covered in our training programs. Additional topics are available or can be developed as per client’s request.

- Technology specific training (e.g. DNA/ isolation, PCR, etc.).

- Advanced topics training (e.g. Diagnostic DNA analysis).

- Laboratory sourcing: reference library, membership to professional organizations and internet resources that help laboratory personnel stay current and well connected to the international laboratory communities.

- Laboratory accreditation process: a long-term comprehensive coaching and technical assistance program that will assess, prepare and lead the laboratory toward international accreditation.
- Laboratory Personnel certification: GBS will coach and monitor the experience of laboratory scientists and guide them through the appropriate certification process.
